Actin-5, muscle-specific Mouse mAb for Ant

The protein is a globular-structural protein that polymerizes in a helical fashion to form an actin filament (or microfilament). Actin is the main component of the micro lament system in all eukaryotic cells and is involved in basic cell processes including cellular motility, intracellular transport, muscle contraction and cytokinesis. Muscle-Specific Actin recognizes alpha and gamma isotypes of all muscle groups. Non-muscle cells such as vascular endothelial cells and connective tissues are nonreactive. Neoplastic cells of non-muscle-derived tissue such as Carcinomas, Melanomas and Lymphomas are negative.
